According to Jim Rudolph, general sales manager, “Our quote and order activity has increased over the past few months and we’re encouraged with the outlook for the next few quarters. We are adding staff now to maintain the responsive service and short lead times that J&L has traditionally offered.”
Rudolph noted that the January 10, 2010 announcement of the preliminary antidumping margins on Chinese imports of wire decking will limit the availability of dumped Chinese wire decking into the marketplace.
J&L, located in St. Paul, Minn., manufactures and fabricates wire decking and racks, as well as galvanized and bright basic wire. J&L also sells woven wire flooring and confinement panels to the agricultural industry for hog production. The Galva-Deck brand wire rack decking is used for warehouse storage shelving, material handling and logistics. J&L Wire Products Inc. was founded in 1980 as a manufacturer of welded and woven wire forms. They remain the market leader in galvanized woven wire flooring for livestock, and remain a key supplier to many domestic users of galvanized wire decking.
