As the company celebrates its 75th anniversary, third-generation President Peter Voss III., talked about the more than 7 decades of family-driven service.
“My grandfather (Peter Voss Sr.) launched Voss Equipment in late 1934 with a modest investment,” said Voss III. “I’m honored that, 75 years later, his vision of providing superior product, service and investment in our employees, is still thriving.”
Voss III had time to nurture that vision, literally growing up in the business. During high school and college summer breaks he worked for the company pulling parts orders, arranging shipments and making deliveries.
He spent the next 20 years learning the intricacies of the company, and was named president of Voss Equipment in 2008.
The company now has a team of 65 employees, more than 100,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space and close to two tons of materials handling product.
